CONCLUSION
REDEFINING FARMLAND INVESTMENT TO GENERATE ALPHA
Ultimately, investing in the nation’s best farmers can provide access to superior investment returns. But it requires deal flow to achieve this. To generate that deal flow demands full spectrum financial capabilities and an authentic brand that farmers can trust.
Since the very beginning, AgAmerica has worked to develop a powerful and authentic brand in order to connect to the farmer and earn their trust.
AgAmerica’s purpose and values are laid out clearly in our mission statement.
“To know the farmer. To counsel the farmer. To provide a financial structure that allows the farmer to thrive in good times and sleep well during tough times. To celebrate the critical role of the farmer in America, and to champion all that the American farmer represents in a changing world.”
AGAMERICA MISSION STATEMENT
This mission statement encapsulates the need for a lender and investor in agriculture to actively listen to the farmer and understand their specific needs (to know), to demonstrate empathy and respect for the farmer (to celebrate and champion), and to be their financial advocate and solutions partner (counsel and provide).
AgAmerica incorporates these values into the organization at every level.
By building a lifecycle of financial products and services, AgAmerica imbues a genuine relationship with a farmer with lifetime value, which makes time invested in those relationships and doing the right thing by the farmer well worth it, putting the emphasis on acquiring and retaining clients over the short-term profit potential of any one sale.
By listening to farmers, AgAmerica learns what their financial needs are so the firm can then innovate new products that address those underserved needs and have a track record of doing so.
By working like a farmer to remove client frictions, AgAmerica reflects the farmer’s values and their important mission.
By hiring sophisticated and rural lifestyle-oriented people, AgAmerica creates a company culture that is consistent with the brand.
By being a thought leader and public advocate, AgAmerica celebrates the farmer by giving back and raising awareness on a larger stage.
Our commitment to a thriving future for American agriculture goes beyond mere transactions. We cultivate lasting partnerships rooted in trust, integrity, and innovation. This approach prioritizes long-term relationships over short-term gains to empower farmers, strengthen rural communities, and create a path for investors to invest in farmers and not against.
